.... gestern habe ich Navicon.fr und Magellan USA den Fehler 1605 zugemailt, allerdings mache ich mir wenig Hoffnungen auf Hilfe; bei Gelegenheit habe ich festgestellt, dass ppm bzw. Germany in der Distributorenliste nicht aufgeführt ist.
Heute hat Tuneup angeblich in der Registry noch 4 fehlerhafte Verknüpfungen entfernt, aber die waren nicht ursächlich für das VP-Installationsproblem. 
Dramatisch ist das Verbindungsproblem z. Z. nicht; ausserdem ich habe noch 21 Monate Garantie.

.. nachdem VP unter Win 7 nun wieder funktioniert, habe ich den Triton 1500 an den PC angeschlossen.
Natürlich wurde wieder COM 1 ausgegraben, ich habe den Neptune-Anschluss dann deaktiviert, dann den Treiber gelöscht, und nach nochmaligem Start des Triton kam USB-Device an COM 3 und die Meldung, dass der Treiber installiert ist.
Die Verbindung funktioniert und ich lasse gerade vom Triton ein paar Maps auf den PC übertragen.
Gerät vom PC trennen, VP beenden und wieder neu starten, es klappt jetzt alles. Der Blue Screen gehört damit der Veergangenheit an.
Ich vermute, dass auch hier der Grafikartentreiber eine Rolle beim Nichtfunktionieren gespielt hat.
dass ppm bzw. Germany in der Distributorenliste nicht aufgeführt ist.
Wie ich gehört habe, ist ppm auch kein Magellan Consumer Distributor mehr. Wen wunderts auch. Der Distributor für Europa soll aus Schweden kommen http://www.magellangps.se
Ich grüble gerade, ob mein VP-Nicht-Funktionieren - was über Nacht kam - vielleicht auch am GraKa-Treiber gelegen hat? Naja, zu spät. Triton und VP sind bei mir Geschichte. Die Kombi Lowrance + Garmin ist einfach entspannender
